Dietitian consultation – Sucessful stories
Gout – I have had overweight and gout problems for ten years. I have to face gout attacks every one to two months, and the severe pain makes me unable to walk out of bed in the morning. The dietitian taught me the essentials of a gout diet and helped me control my weight. It turns out that even if I suffer from gout and obesity, I can choose many delicious foods.
Eric – Retired secondary school teacher
Osteoarthritis– Previously, my left knee joint became inflamed, and the cartilage tissue was deteriorated due to being overweight. The doctor wanted me to lose weight. The Mint Dietitian Clinic gave me professional advice and met a few times within three months, and I lost ten kg of my original body weight. Now I can walk for 30 minutes without a problem.
Ada – Restaurant manager
Diabetes – I was distraught when I was first diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago. I must control my blood sugar because my work is so busy. So I met a dietitian at Mint who gave me many practical and feasible advice on diet and lifestyle. They taught me how to choose food when I am eating out and control the carbohydrate intake for my meals.
Anthony – Accountant
Gestational diabetes – At 25 weeks of pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and my postprandial blood sugar was almost ten at first. The Dietitian at Mint gave me a lot of advice on my daily diet, teaching me how to eat a balanced diet and provide the fetus with enough nutrition to grow. Now my two-hour postprandial blood sugar is below 7 degrees.
Rachel – Flight attendant
Underweight – My son is eight years old and not as tall and heavy as other children of the same age. The paediatrician said he was stunted and needed to see a dietitian for nutrition advice. The dietitian at Mint told me that my son’s calories and protein are not enough. After making some dietary recommendations, the child’s height and weight have improved significantly.
Sandra – House wife
Sleep apnea – I am 45 years old and weigh 190 pounds. Being overweight made me suffer from sleep apnea, which prevented me from sleeping soundly every night, and I was sluggish when I woke up, which greatly affected my work performance. I started looking for a dietitian to help me lose weight two months ago, and I have lost 15 pounds so far, and my sleep quality has also improved a lot.
